Job Title : Senior Java Developer

Location : New York, NY

Duration : 6 Months +

 

This position is for a Developer on the team. A successful candidate is expected to create and deliver software, have responsibility  to execute projects from start to finish, work independently or with a project team.

 

The key responsibilities are:

 

Work with project manager, technical leads, business owners and analysts in all phases of the whole software development lifecycle, including: requirement gathering, application design, system development, testing and implementation.

Work with other development teams to design and build reusable technologies Understand and support existing systems, including resolving operational issues while working with teams located across the globe

Ability to execute and communicate solutions

 

Skills :               

10- 12 years experience

Experience with Core Java Development

Java : Strong experience in  Java 5 preferable . 

If a candidate is strong in java 4 this is ok as well. Soon planning to migrate to java 6.

Need to have excellent skills in Sybase, oracle.

Should be very strong in SQL. 

Experience with Hibernate and Spring

Experience working with Swing and designing UI components

Ability to work in a team environment

Financial knowledge and interest strongly recommended
