UI/Front-End Developer
If someone can relocate that is okay, but we will need to do a Skype and have their Visa. The contract is at least 1 year plus extensions.
Day To Day:
We are looking for a top Angular/JavaScript developer to join our User Experience Design & Development (UXD) team in Boston, MA. Our team works collaboratively with our client's product owners, information architects, and visual designers to build the front end for applications on our clients customer facing website. Our applications are used by millions of people daily to invest and plan for retirement. We work with modern front-end technologies (eg. Backbone, Angular, React, Grunt) in small Agile teams to build highly interactive applications. We evaluate emerging industry techniques and code libraries as part of every project. Our pages are designed to be responsive to all sizes of browser, and we test on a variety of tablets and phones. Our UXD group includes published authors on User Experience (Tom Tullis, Measuring the User Experience) and we frequently host impressive user research events at our state-of-the art facilities in Boston, NY, and NC.
Responsibilities of this developer would be to develop a working presentation layer based on either a requirements document, discussions with the IA and/or Visual Designer, a mockup design image or wireframe design. He or she would build presentation layer to web-based technical standards using W3C or WHATWG compliance, as well as adhere to defined corporate style guide standards and accessibility standards. He or she would participate in team activities and scheduled stand-up meetings as well.
This specific project will focus on developing a single page application from scratch using Angular. This is a brand new site and there is no legacy code. The project is already in motion and one developer has started to write code, but we are looking for a Senior JavaScript expert to join and take over the majority of the coding.
