It is learned that this journalist is based on an audit report by the dispatched auditors sent on site by the Gavi organization.

It is in 2011 that the rumors about mismanagement of the grant began. The organization concerned by these persistent rumors therefore conducted an audit on the period from 2008 to 2011. It should be noted that the project is managed in Cameroon by the Technical Secretariat of the Steering Committee of the Health Sector Strategy. This is one of the many structures within the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE). From the audit carried out, it shows a confirmation of what was previously a rumor. "The implementation of the Gavi program is totally incompatible with the basic rules of good management regardless of the reference standards that can be discussed," said the auditors that Mediapart quoted. The amount of "fraud", anomalies and irregularities were assessed by the said auditors to be a little more than 2.1 billion CFA francs.

The newspaper indicates that the government had to reimburse Gavi Alliance the alleged diverted sum. Information that is also indicated in Mediapart. According to information obtained by the newspaper, the Special Criminal Court has already seized of this matter.
