Re: REASON PAUL AYAH WAS ARRESTED

It is time now to call a spade a spade. If Fru Ndi and his parliamentarians keep on in the assembly of the Republic of Cameroon, they are not there on our behalf. We do not belong there. Let this be written.

Hi
The SDF knows fully well that their parliamentarians and that of the CPDM who originate from SC are determinants of the Southern Cameroons' future.

If the SDF was interested in helping the people than assisting Biya, the SDF could have made the first move.

1) Strongly condemned the arrest of Consortium leaders
2) warned the government of any further brutality, killing, maiming, rape, abduction etc on Southern Cameroonians

Let's remember that the SDF 'cunningly' gave the regime until the 7th of December 2017 to release our abducted children.I would like to ask Hon Mbah-Ndam and his Chairman a simple question:

Now that the dealine has expired and our abducted sons have not been released, what have you 'gurls' done?

You cam up with too much noise on Esaka train accident and you pretentiously created a SDF Esaka Commission of Enquiry to be headed by Hon Joshua Osih. How far have you gone with that too?

The SDF is just operating like their sister party, the CPDM. They just make noise to be seen as doing something. In reality, they are just as 'ngong' as bingo the dog.

3) the SDF chairman should have been the one to make the first move by calling for a private meeting with the CPDM parliamentarians of Southern Cameroons origin. The meeting should be to plan for the resignation of all of the Anglophone MPs in a particular place and at a particular time.

All what the SDF is doing is to sustain Biya in power. Ni John Fru Ndi. They have appointed a francophone to the position of the SG, claiming that the SDF is not a regional party. If that is the chairman's excuse, then he has just told us that until the appointment of the francophone SG, the SDF had been a regional party.

The CPDM and other frnacophone parties do not have an anglophone as SG. Are they therefore regional parties?

SDF seems to be more interested in sleeping with the CPDM than in improving the lives of Anglophones.

When we shall regain our independence without the help of the current SC parliamentarians, we shall strongly put these parliamentarians on a the 'finest high table' of regret.

Justice   Ayah   does  not  deserve   this.  He  is  strong  supporter  of  the  struggle  he  should  be  released.  I  am   sure  that  amnesty  International  and  Article  19 of  New  York  are  aware  of  this  Situation. Should France  and  and  La  Republique  Du  Cameroun  annihilate  SOUTHERN  CAMEROONIANS  because  of  the  Natural  Resoures in  our  country?

Dr. Tumasang,

Why? This posting of yours, no matter the intent, and/or objective, will be remembered as the harbinger of the collapse of the common front in the Anglophone struggle! I'm disappointed, to say the least. Hope you now feel better that Ayah is now lamenting in the hands of our common enemy.
God Save The Struggle!

Kingsley,
Justice Ayah firmly laid the foundation for the lawyers cause. In judgement after judgement he decided that the CIMA Code was inapplicable in the Common Law System based on sound constitutional grounds. He challenged the constitutional basis of the application of OHADA in the Common law courts when it was first raised by the Common Law Lawyers almost two decades ago.  We protested wrote a petition  to President Paul Biya on the matter which is reproduced in my small book " For Dame Lynda Chalker and other Anglophone Notes" with a preface by Dr Bate Besong.  The OHADA matter is as old as the OHADA treaty itself. The Secretary General of the Cameroon Common Lawyers Association then was the late N.T Tabe and B.T.B Foretia was the President. He outlawed the mandatory payment of 5% of the amounts claimed as deposit prioro to filing civil suits  in the Common Law Courts over strong objections by the government. He rescued Pamol Cameroon Ltd from French predatory economic interest in the case of Hon Ogork Ntui v Chistian Mure  in which I represented Hon Ogork Ntui at the Indian High Court.
He confided in me and Lawyer Gilbert Tangunyi and sought our opinion before leaving the bench to go into politics. He knew we were going to be disappointed hearing that he was contesting election of the platform of the CPDM which my friend Dr Bate Besong characterized in a dress down at the Buea Mountain Club  on the Late Hon Awunti and Professor Wilfred Ndongko Central Committee members  as a secret society. In Parliament he voted against the constitutional amendment lifting term limits and giving Biya a life Presidency. His woes may come from that vote and his participation in the Southern Cameroons struggle which has exploded when Paul Biya was making political calculations to seek another mandate in 2018. So therefore the deployment of soldiers to kill and maim in the Southern Cameroons is not informed by any reasonable opposition by Francophone to discuss or even concede to the Federation which the Consortium and Hon Ayah are advocating. The Francophone may be opposed to outright independence but do not blame the Southern Cameroons for advocating that option. They in their majority place teh blame on the indolence  of Paul Biya. The actions of Paul Biya against the Southern Cameroons and his personal animosity against Hon Ayah is informed by the fact that the matter has derailed his political agenda. His actions are informed by self interest.

Total speculation!

Paul Ayah may be controversial but he is a highly respected legal mind and a long time serving Judge please. While I don't  agree with  everything  he did or said,  I firmly believe when all is said and done, he was/is  an asset to the Anglophone cause and that his heart is in the right place, as far as the  Anglophone  cause is concerned.  I  therefore find it somewhat ridiculous  that anyone will insinuate that a man of Justice Ayah's legal standing, did not know the implication of what he was doing, forming a West Cameroon Authority. You may not agree with  his idea but don't  belittle the guy's intelligence. He damn knew acts like these in a dictatorship like Cameroon,  could lead to his arrest sooner  or later. He is just an outspoken person, period.

Here is a   guy who several years ago boldly opposed the CPDM lifting of presidential  term limits, while still seving as an MP of the  ruling party.  He earned my respect since then with that singular act of  bravery and patriotism.

I find it troubling  that his arrest by a criminal regime will serve as fodder for  anyone to state, without any evidence, that he did not know what he was doing. Total speculation!

Mr Tumasang, as a lawyer are you reading this from an official indictment or from your hate Ayah perspective?
