.Net Developer /Houston, TX

Title: .Net with  C# Developer with PL/SQL Experience

Location: Houston, TX (Northwest)

Duration: 12 months with probability of extension 

F2F interview  is required (9+ years required)

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required

Currently reside in or be willing to move to the greater Houston area (no remote consultants who travel back and forth)

Highly communicative and proactive in troubleshooting code and working directly with business users when they have errors (This must show in work history of resume)

7 or more years of full stack development experience in C# .Net including:

Strong front end web development experience using: MVC, C#,ASP.Net, and WebForms

Very good PL/SQL skills - building packages and writing procedures for extremely large data sets (close to 1 billion records or more) Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs, i.e. WebAPI

Strong experience integrating .Net applications with Oracle back end databases

Good understanding of service oriented architecture with experience writing web services

Must have strong aptitude for troubleshooting and adapt to new information while learning the clients environment (where business rules are not well documented and reverse engineering of the codeis required)

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Any experience working in a Scrum environment in 2 week sprints

Priority will be given to candidates with development experience in the retail electricity industry since this would greatly accelerate the learning curve.....experience with other industries

involving huge amounts of customer usage data would also be acceptable (Cable/Telecom/etc).

Any experience working with a NoSQL database such as Mongo would be helpful.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work on a scrum team in 2-week sprints

Learn the existing front end customer facing web-based systems and how they connect with backend data sources/ Provide new development,enhancements, and troubleshooting to improve the systems

Create RESTful APIs for 3rd party consumption; Help re-implement existing front end systems with new backend data sources.
