Re: [camnetwork] Re: Barrister Ben Muna, Hon Wirba & Parliamentarians pleaded with Mancho & co to stop Hunger Strike.

It would be interesting to witness lifestyle of the several detainees at the maximum security prison in Kondengui.. On the one hand U have Anglophone detainees flooded  with food from sympathizers, Anglo lawyers, parliamentarians. Roland Ndifor says he's brought  groceries worth almost $2000 to  Kondengui  on several occasions to feed only the Southern Cameroonian prisoners.. This sounds provocative to the  Francophone high profile prisoners  in the same
Ngata house. There are other reports that there is a proxy Anglo/Anglo struggle in Kondengui in part due to this perceived discrimination on Francophones by Anglophones in Jail.

My understanding is that the said Hunger Strike  by SC prisoners has nothing do with food or lack thereof.  The strike has more to do with gov't failure to bring them to justice while  they lament in jail with 'shit' and 'vomit ' in the same vicinity, for how long?.  It is unfortunate,  the horrible nature of  the Cameroon Jurisprudence.. High profile Franco political Prisoners such as Mendo Ze, Hamadou Ali, Yve Fotso, Abah Abah, Ephraim Inoni etc have languished in Kondengui for  years, some decades, have not had their day in Court for political reasons and we see their  Anglo colleagues suffering same fate if this struggle does not subside.

So my friends, the excess palatable goodies, some from America brought to our Anglophone brothers in jail may not be the answer but a double whammy..Imagine U are Francophone already in jail, U  will be jealous if not fight  your Anglophone colleagues for Some nice fresh Food from outside.

Let Cameroon be blessed!!

They dont eat just food donated by parliamentarians. I have carried food donated by a united states based non for profit organization twice to them. the last time I went there on May 30, I gave them food stuff worth 1800 USD.
I just wanted to make it clear that not just parliamentarians give them food.
I was also able to talk to them live and had video interviews of them with my hidden camera.

Mancho Bibixy and his men have decided to stop the hunger strike tomorrow as a result of the plea by Parliamentarians, Lawyer Ben Muna and Hon. Wirba. The anglophone detainees cook and eat once a day using food donated by parliamentarians. The prison authorities can barely feed their 5000 detainees with horrible corn chaff. Sometimes 60 detainees sleep in a 4 metre wide cell in horrible conditions. The prison is full of famous prisoners, Inoni and Mendoze are reportedly broken men. In the past Mendoze had a sad face but was happy, now he has a sad face but is, sad. He never smiles.
