Re: [MTC Global] The Elephant in the Classroom!

Dear All,
Well said Prabhakar sir. We need to 'action' in such a way that righteousness prevails. Indian philosophy believes that there is no difference between an individual and the God. One has to understand himself to understand the God. Self reflection and realization without 'I' ness is essential for this.
However, Indians faltered here. They misunderstood the Gita and waiting for God's reincarnation, where they believed themselves as helpless and impotent and have been waiting for God's to arrive and solve his problem. It is part of their collective unconsciousness. that is the reason, we have so many type of hero worshiping movies and rituals to please God.
We brought the elephant to the class room and fed it so much that it even can not go out side due to three reasons:
1. It is too fat to go out of the door.
2. It is comfortable inside because of continuous feeding.
3. It has believed that  I am not capable to go out.

Thanks Professor Pratapji for sharing the 6Ds (causes)  of fall resulting into  disengagement.

The Shloka from Geeta needs to be understood, however, in a real sense.

  1. Oh! Bharat, whenever there is a fall in Dharma, I (the Lord) re-incarnates for re-installation of Dharma.
  2. Shall we wait and suffer till such incarnation appear?
  3. God is omnipotent and omniscient and dwells in you and I. If it is so, then why to wait for re-incarnation. One takes the reigns in one's hand and overcomes the problem. That is what is done exactly by the so called re-incarnation. Is it not so?

It would be an interesting topic to revisit and refine the student engagement methods resulting better outcome.
