Re: [MTC Global] No NET , No Ph.D. Admission

UGC NET is mainly for government college vacancies. Most of the  private colleges will not give importance to it. I had cleared the exam when I was 40. All government jobs required less than 40 years age applicants Hence no use of it.

Making UGC NET compulsory for PHD does not make sense, people who want to do research must be encouraged... Rather than creating various hurdles.

I have cleared my UGC-NET in Lectureship in March 2011, till date I am wondering why I have cleared it???

Very few private institutes consider UGC-NET Lectureship, there no compulsion for universities to have NET passed lecturers.

Can anybody through some light on this and educate more on this.

No Net, No Phd admissions - In my opinion it is unfair anybody who has interest in research and in their own specialisation has freedom to take their topic and pursue their doctrate course and making Net once again as rules for taking Phd is unjustifiable.
