Re: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Discussion:1] How Students Can Become Partners in Higher Education?

Dear All,
Students Partnership is a "Hot" issue in Higher Education world over; Students as partners is a concept and practice whose time has come.....

Student partnership and participation will pave the way for inclusive curricula, effective teaching-learning process, retention, achievement and progression;

Students' feedback has already proved indispensable for quality enhancement and governance in Higher Education:
  • Student goals, aspirations and beliefs underpin the actions they take; their self-identity determines how students control and regulate their learning behavior both in the present and the future.

Teachers can actively influence and guide all students in powerful ways that can make the students' goals and aspirations a reality
  • through the curriculum and assessment tasks they design,
  • the teaching methods they employ,
  • the attitudes toward and beliefs they have about students, and the class atmosphere they create.
Warm regards,
G.S.Autee
