[MTC Global] Re: Investor-Mindset

Dear All,
Entrepreneurs Need A New Adaptive Innovator Mindset as per John Sculley, in his new book "Moonshot!: Game-Changing Strategies to Build Billion-Dollar Businesses"
  • Be forever curious and an optimist. Adaptive innovator entrepreneurs are inspired by what's possible, but focus on what's probable.
  • Unpack your best ideas. Unpacking an idea is about taking deep dives into it; twisting and turning it to see the concept in different ways.
  • Never give up in finding a better way. Steve Jobs was never satisfied, and kept pushing himself and everyone around him. He kept raising the bar.
  • Put the customer at the center of your business concept. As you consider a really transformative business concept, leverage your domain expertise and create a customer experience never realized before in that industry. Couple this with automation and technology to offer a disruptive solution. The customer, not the technology, is in control.
The Mindset of an Investor:
  • Persuasive pitchers get on the stage with the right mindset – the mindset of success; Investors think differently from the rest of the people.  They see opportunities in places where others wouldn't, they like to take calculated risks, they trust their gut and have a good relationship with money. When you craft your pitch, try to put yourself in the shoes of the investors. If you were sitting in your chair, would you invest in your business?
