Acts in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of architectures for a line of business or infrastructure sub-domain that are in compliance with the Enterprise Architecture. Responsible for working on medium to high architectural impact projects, recommending exceptions to the Enterprise Architecture for high level projects, reviewing and approving medium architectural impact designs, communicating the Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams within their line of business or infrastructure sub-domain (organizational unit) and directing implementation of the architecture for their organizational unit. Serves as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational unit's architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture.: 10+ years design and planning experience in systems, applications or IT Architecture.
candidates need to have a combination of education and work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with 7 or more years of aggregated experience in multiple technical areas, such as application design, system architecture and infrastructure architecture. The candidate should also have knowledge of standard systems architecture concepts and best practices. The candidate should have a background in application, enterprise integration, and/or service oriented architectures. Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and, in some cases, related costs for each project request. Contribute to feature prioritization and systems architecture. - Review Requirements Documents and develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of systems. - Produce architecture and design documents to effectively communicate the solution to the business and provide direction for the development teams and infrastructure partners. - Develop design standards and guidelines and mentor development team members on best practices. - Demonstrate expertise and leadership in problem solving. - Work with Business Units, Web Engineers, Network Engineers, Systems Administrators, Applications Developers, Architects, Database Administrators, and Suppliers to prevent or solve difficult availability and performance problems. - Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs. - Research new innovative tools and technologies and lead proof-of-concepts to drive adoption - Strong Java, and J2EE experience including architecture design on J2EE platform - Good Experience in SOA design principles and Architecture Design Patterns - Good knowledge and Experience with Security and implementing Application level security including peripheral security, transport layer security, SSL Certificates, Mutual Digital Certificate Based Authentication, etc - Good Knowledge and Experience in Business Process Management tools such as IBM BPM, TIBCO AMX, etc Preferred Skills Management / Leadership experience preferred. - Experience interacting with vendors. - Very strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to document and communicate complex business and technical concepts to diverse audiences. - Knowledge of technology trends and advancements. - Ability to quickly learn existing complex systems. - Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, particularly as it relates to systems design. - Facilitation and team-building skills at all levels. Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including business partners and technical team. - Ability to thrive in a high-pressured but highly structured, customer-oriented environment. - Ability to multitask multiple projects at once.
