Dear Prof. Rao and Prof. Goel, I agree with you . It has been a pleasure to read comments from both of you in the past on different issues..

AAP has been sharp and strategic enough to successfully brand and launch themselves as a much wanted product, in specific segments! They had a good advantage in knowing the image of their competitors. However , they are yet to make the product delivery, gauge consumer usage reactions, after service follow ups, and thus create a brand loyalty in the long run!

I agree. Time alone will tell - if they can sustain and can scale up.
But , they seemed to have started off well, leveraging the prevailing public discontent, though they have far less resources and experience than a National and seasoned party like BJP ....

Unless this success is backed by a successful governance, the whole analysis may prove to be in vain. Only one lesson will not change and that is that there was a hidden demand that they were able to identify and convert it into a necessity for many.

Dear All,

Recent success of AAP in Delhi can possibly be an intersting management case study, for discussion among faculty members and students of B Schools, covering aspects like purpose, clarity of thought, branding, market segmentation, effectiveness of communication using  media / technology etc.

Following article that appeared today in the Hindu Business Line may be interesting.
