Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented Java developer to join our team in the analysis, design, implementation and co-ordination of projects and system changes. Candidates will contribute to strategic system builds and projects driven by business, industry or regulatory changes, partnering with our stakeholders. Projects regularly require interaction with architects, developers and analysts in other global groups.
The successful candidate will participate in all phases of the project lifecycle and work with extremely bright, motivated individuals, who focus on Java development and strive for continuous process improvement.
Basic Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelors (Hons.) Degree or Equivalent.
2-6+ years of hands-on development experience
- Core Java. The candidate should have solid understanding of core Java concepts and Design Patterns
- Testing Framework. The candidate should have a good understanding of principles behind test driven development and have hands on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Database Skills. The candidate should be proficient with SQL, able to write and analyze complex queries with multi-table joins and aggregate functions. The candidate should have experience with query optimization and be familiar with generating and analyzing query plans.
- Experience developing in a Unix or Linux environment
- Good Analytical skills required
- Good interpersonal communications skills required
- Desire to learn about a variety of business lines is required
- Dedication and concern for delivering quality solutions to our users
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of financial markets experience
Experience of additional technologies, e.g. Hibernate, Spring.
