Front End-Web Developer

Location: Wilmington, DE

Duration:6+ months Contract

Responsibilities:         

 

As a Senior Front End Web Developer, resource will be responsible for creating, maintaining and prototyping highly interactive web applications for a very large customer facing internet site.

Resource required to have advanced knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3 and will work with a team of web application developers to build and maintain a UI framework used by multiple internal teams.

Resource will work closely with server-side developers as well as visual and interaction designers to develop usable, accessible, and standards-compliant code. 

Resource will also be responsible for contributing to documentation and providing instructions to various development teams. Resource will be expected to develop and enhance their skills as new standards and technologies surface and will be given opportunities to apply those skills on multiple projects.

 

Required Skills:          

• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript / Ajax
• jQuery
• CSS Frameworks
• Photoshop
• Progressive Enhancement / Graceful Degradation
• HTML and CSS Specifications (W3C / WHATWG)
• Familiarity with W3C and Accessibility standards
• Debugging Tools (Firebug, etc)
• Cross-Browser / Cross-Platform Development
• CSS Pre-Processors (LESS / Sass)
• Understanding of Version Control (Git / GitHub / CVS / Subversion)
• WAI-ARIA
• HTML5/CSS3 Polyfills
• Data Formats (e.g. JSON)
• Regular Expressions

Nice to Have Skills :

·         Experience with Agile methodologies

·         Experience in creating reusable jQuery components will be an added advantage

·         Good to have Banking Domain Knowledge
