The project manager has end-to-end responsibility and accountability for success of the project deliverables.  The project manager manages project planning, resources, budget, and project timeline through effective delivery, navigating and leading the team through effective issue, risk and action identification, socialization and resolution.  Key responsibilities of the milestone project manager include:

-          Overall responsibility and accountability for success of the project deliverables

o   Ensures an appropriate communications plan

o   Ensures an agreed resource plan

o   Ensure a complete understanding of interdependencies with other projects

o   Provides direction to project team members

§  Ensures team understands near/mid/long term direction and priorities

o   Ensures project remains on track in terms of Scope, Timeline, and Budget

§  Chairs project status meetings with relevant key stakeholders

§  Elicits, maintains, and delivers regular project status

§  Manages project budget
