Job Description:

The client seeks an SQL developer with extensive Oracle Tuning experience.

 

Job Requirement

       10+ years of SQL development experience including but not limited to the creation of packages, procedures, tables views, functions, etc.

       10+ years of experience in Database Star Schema and or Snow flake schema in First, Second and Third normal form.

       8+ years of experience in PL/SQL tuning including knowledge of Explain Plans AWR, ASH and TKPROF

       Knowledge of Oracle 10g, 11g, and 12c with use of tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD and ERWIN.

       Must have knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database tables structure for both transactional and warehouse data.

       Knowledge of Oracle partitioning practices and data archival structures and processes.

       Must have the ability to work with the system analysts to translate business requirements to database structure as well has communicate the design to the front end development staff.

       Fluent in the Agile programming paradigm.

 

Preferred Skills:

       Experience developing/tuning Oracle for use with MicroStrategy

       Able to adhere to client development standards and SOX compliance

       Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical

       Proven ability to develop and maintain system documentation

       Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction

       Java experience a plus

 

Additional Provisions:

       Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.

       If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.

       All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.

       The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
