Position: DevOps Engineer (2 positions)
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Mountain View, CA
Summary: Product is a market leader in Personal Finance. Person will need to work on Backend infrastructure of the product.
Required Skills:
· 7-8+ years of total relevant experience
· Strong knowledge of deployment automation, orchestration and configuration management (Puppet)
· Experience with AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kafka and Splunk
· Ability to effectively communicate with various teams and levels of management
· Previous experience delivering a new product, including methodologies, for an enterprise solution.
· 2 or more years in DevOps with strong Linux systems administration experience
· Experience with Networking, Load balancing and firewalls a plus
· Experience with programming/scripting languages (Ruby, Python, perl etc.)
· Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in deployment automation, monitoring and maintaining large scale services with various underlying dependencies.
· The person in this role will engage closely with architects, engineering and operations teams to deliver highly available and scalable services
Responsibilities:
· Deploy, monitor, and administer Cloud applications and the underlying services for Cloud (e.g. AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kafka, etc.) technologies and in remote and local data centers
· Build automation scripts and frameworks to improve operational processes and procedures
· Learn, deploy and document newer technologies for the potential deployment of services following a development and release life cycle
· Ensure High availability and 24x7 monitoring
