Position : Sr. UI/UX Designer
Location: Portland, OR
Duration : 6 month contract
Interview : F2F
Responsibilities:
Client is looking for a Senior UI/UX designer to help us create designs for new and existing products. In this role you will collaborate with our product management and software development teams to turn ideas, use cases, and user stories into mockups, wireframes, and working software. You'll own the style-guide for IDS's product suite to ensure a consistent look and feel across all of our applications and help our developers create great user interfaces. A good intuition for design is essential in this role, though you will also be asked to ensure the quality of our interfaces by gathering feedback from real users, reviewing analytics, and conducting usability studies.
Required:
Excellent design skills
3-5 years of experience working as a UI designer for web applications
Knowledge of the adobe suite of tools
A strong portfolio showcasing your successful web application designs
Good intuition for creating mockups and prototypes to aid collaborative design discussions
Expert level HTML/CSS skills
Willingness to dive into any challenge with a positive attitude; be a go-to resource for team members who need help
Excellent communications skills and a good sense of humor
Ability to work well in both team and individual development environments
Experience with agile development practices
Preferred:
BS or MS in a design-related field or equivalent experience
Experience conducting usability studies
Familiarity with ECMAScript 6
Familiarity with Google Analytics
Familiarity with SEO
Familiarity with SCSS
Familiarity with A/B testing
Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments
