That the fact if over 2 lakhs  overqualified candidates including PhD and professional degree holders are applying for the post peons reflects the followings:
  1. The quality of degrees offered by AICTE approved institutes and universities is questionable.
  2. Who is responsible that such degree holders remain unemployed years together?
  3. Is it not the failure of National Manpower planning?
  4. Is it not the failure of the Govts. those were in power then?
  5. Are the regulatory bodies like AICTE, UGC, Universities, NBA, NAAC, etc.,  dependable? Where is the quality assurance talked too much but not walked by these agencies? Is it not public and national cheating?
  6. Can  the present Govt. be held responsible for the mess? What actions the present Govt.  are expected to take for the sins of other Govts. that were in power over 60 years? Even if, they intend to take some corrective measures,  will the opposition political parties cooperate with them in the national interests beyond party politics?

As per October national Newspapers and TV..... In UP for 368 peons posts of 5th std qualification...applicants are 255 PhDs, 10000 MBAs, + BTechs + MTechs+ MCAs= 2 lakhs. These are all genuine degrees from AICTE approved Universities. None from fake Universities. Why such poor condition. Is not credibility is lost. Can you please throw some light. Let us see the other side of the coin:

  1. Govt. circulates a public notification for public views in the matter. How many faculties and educators respond?  For example.  The preceding NCP-Congress Govt. of Maharashtra through public notification appealed for views for the the New University Act, Maharashtra, 2011 draft prepared by Hon. Nigvekar and Bansal Committees.  As I know a very few constructive suggestions have been made by public, faculties and educators.
  2. The Expert Committee is appointed as per the State Code by a bureaucrat like some Secretary and some experts close to bureaucracy or already holding some (present or past) key posts get nominated. The Govt. is unable to find out the hidden thread and the Panel is  set. If the Govt. appoints somebody else,  not put up by the Secretary,  of her choice  today's  Govt. is badly criticised by the elites on unfounded grounds. Did we hear such criticism earlier during the period 1947-2014? Never. Is it not true?
  3. Academicians need to be men of reason and tolerance.
