Unfair practices do  exist in private ad public institutes as well, only the proportion changes. Hence, the bill needs to include all institutes.

Subject: [MTC Global] Bill to keep tab on unfair practices in education soon
The draft of 'Unfair Practices in Education' bill is ready and would be introduced in the Parliament after consultations with all stake holders, including parents and students, Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani said on January 31.

The bill seeking to check irregularities in private educational institutions and providing access to students and parents about the information related to institutions was sent to the states for comments and also uploaded on the website to seek suggestions from stakeholders, Irani said in Una.

All stakeholders including the students and parents would be apprised of the provisions of the bill before introducing it in the Parliament, she said.

The bill would go a long way in "curbing the unfair practices adopted by private institutions" whose details including the fees and infrastructure would also be in public domain.

Without naming anyone, she referred to the recent suicide by Hyderabad University research scholar and said that there should be no politics over it.

"We can also speak on the issue but we don't want to politicise the issue and would speak only in the Parliament," she said.

Replying to a question regarding the opening of an IIIT at Haroli in Una, she said, "laying the foundation stone for electoral gains was not sufficient. Land, infrastructure and budgetary provisions are also required for opening educational institutions."

Referring to the campus of Central University at Kangra, Irani said a team of HRD would soon visit the proposed site.

Later, addressing the BJP workers at Hamirpur, Irani said the site for the main campus of Kangra Central University would be finalised soon and the claim of Dehra would not be ignored.

Earlier, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and BJP MLA from Dehra, Ravinder Singh Ravi met the Union minister and said that chief minister Virbhadra Singh was issuing "confusing statements" on Kangra University, ignoring the claim of Dehra

Re: [MTC Global] Bill to keep tab on unfair practices in education soon

What about the teachers / faculty members , are they not stack holders , this is very unfortunate that we the teachers are liberalities for private owners while
students and parents are assets  , some how the government is also thinking in same line .
there should we some thing for teachers / faculty members like
Same Degree - Same Position and Same Salary and other benefits , for example the DA is 125% for a Central Govt. Teacher while in a Private Institute/ College/ university they do not know what is that term DA.

Re: [camnetwork] Re: [globalcameroun] Re: [cameroons_sdf_party] WUM: TIME TO END THE OCCUPATION. Pictures and report by Dr Tumasang

Dr. Tagne,

Yesterday it was Ahidjo, today it is Biya and should tomorrow it be Dr. Tagne, the struggle will continue for however long it takes. How do the Tagnes having it however small today, want the Southern Cameroons to hope to share only in the imaginary greatness of tomorrow? Do you remember how much the Tagnes were involved in the struggles specific to the Southern Cameroons at the University of Yaounde? The Tangnes cannot live their "small heaven" (whoever is living the "big heaven now) and yet pray the Southern Cameroons to hope for their own "heaven" (may be your present "small heaven") only come some tomorrow.

Brother Ndi Manjong I wish you luck with your struggle and the freedom of your southern Cameroons.
As for some of us we believe as soon as we can get this evil man call paul biya and his regime out we can restart building our beloved and unify country no matter how many Ndi Manjong we will have on our way.

With love always bro,

My Dear Dr. Tagne,

Scream all you can; Southern Cameroons shall be free; however long it shall take. You could not have missed that as the revolutionary of your Yaounde student days. There is no mixing of a Cameroun struggle (if there is any) with the Southern Cameroons Struggle; whose history stretches into the previous century.

This is why we are having difficult time getting this EVIL paul biya and his cpdm out.
We have such very important development as people in our beloved country are fighting for their freedom we have IDIOTS coming to tell us how it is time to "END THE OCCUPATION". How can all join to push this SATANIC regime out when you have some real IDIOTS trying to recuperate the people fight for their lonely end of small spirit?

CAN SOME OF YOU JUST SHUT A HELL UP and let great kids of WUM help the Cameroonians people to start their revolution like in EGYPT and elsewhere to free the country as a whole?

GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Happening Now: Military Camp in Wum under attack
A camerounese colonial military man stabbed a young okada man to dead early hours of today (3:40 am) in wum town Menchum division NW region. They argued over a woman. It happens both befriended same girl. Information suggest there's complete chaos as more people have been shot, two Toyota land cruisers belonging to the army burnt.
This reporter got the name of deceased as Ngong Leonard, name of officer is one Chef Alpha an ewondo guy....
We are told the military guys commit a lot of atrocities such as forcefully taking the girl friends of inhabitants, terrorizing and brutalizing the local community.

These people inherited brutality from their French masters. They want to see it every where. Look at their Minister of Sport nullifying a court jugement with a simple communiqué and we see Docteurs d'Etat like Mathias Eric Owona Nguini et al hollering over the whole place in support of such a dastardly act under the cover of a certain "raison d'Etat".

Such bestiality most be stopped and wil be stopped.

Rather a shame that soldiers whose essebtial role is to prorect territorial integrity and make sure that citizens live savely are the very ones maiming and killing these very citizens because of "girl friends"

You see, my only Patrick Nganang once said that "Le Cameroun est dans le Cabinet". Any sound mind to solidly contradict him?

Sylvine Lamb I remember as a child growing up in Wum how my father opened our doors wide to hide Wum locals who were being killed and harrassed by the hausas during Ahijo`s reign. This picture reminds me of those days and puts a very bitter taste in my mouth. May the poor man`s soul find rest!
