[MTC Global] Pitru Paksh (Shradh) - Lessons for Management

Dear All

This year from 30th September to 15th October is called Pitru Paksh also popular as Shradhs in India.

Shradhs are meant to pay our homage and gratitude to our ancestors.Beside our respect to them it also provide solution to Pitrudosa resulting from misbehaviour done in some generation to their parents.

In Corporate / Business / Management Institutes etc we can pay homage / gratitude to Founder / Organization builder. We can revisit Vision , Mission, Quality System and Values set up by them

Ignoring result in to Organization Dosha ultimately resulting to failure / closure.

It is a part of initiative to use culture in management education. It was observed that such an approach lead to permanent impressions in mind set.

Regards.

Re: [MTC Global] Learning Good English

Dear All,

Sorry for incomplete mail. The simplest method is to read News Paper daily and Magazines related to Management. Management Teachers must read beyond General News Paper, Economic Times, Financial Express etc and Magazines like Business India, Business Today, HBR etc.We teach students how to read News Paper and Magazines,

In Class Teacher should allocate at least 5-10 minutes in discussing current issues in English.

Make use of Spell Check / Language Check facility on Computer.

Dear All,

I thought, I must share it as I feel it is important for us to give proper direction to our students / Children. My wife, who is a principal in an ICSE International School in Bangalore, attended  one week refresher course conducted by ICSE Board at Kolkata and today is back. Just now, I ask her what is the learning:

She says:  Mrs. Sharmistha Raha , a noted teacher in English Literature, trainer for the program categorically mentioned " Today students don't study good English novel/book because of too much emphasize on Internet/web world  and students read books like Chetan Bhagat which are full of grammatical errors. Students need to study good English book to learn good English. She also emphasizes on at least one Book Review  every month."

This is not a point for debate. This is the view expressed by Mrs. Sharmistha Raha.
