[MTC Global] Dual Specialization is the need of the Challenges in Times Ahead ?

Esteemed Academic Luminiaries,

Most of the Institutes offering PGDM/PGDBM offer Major and Minor Subjects.
However some toy with the idea of Dual Specialization.....Two Major Subjects....8 + 8 = 16 Subjects.
Whereas in Major/Minor you have 4 subjects lesser in the Minor specialization choice. However students make their choices looking for opportunities in all areas and as options also to be maximized to get benefits.

Kindly let me know accordingly to you how a company would react if you told them that the same candidate is specialization in marketing and in finance, that 3 days back he had sat for capital iq (core finance ) and today he wants to apply for 99 acres( marketing ).

Also at the time of last minute preparations, would a student prepare for Deloitte ( Finance ) or Naukri ( Marketing ), if they are coming for example on the same day.

Kindly give your views keeping all the practical aspects in mind. Dual specialisation has no major or minor, it means 2 specialisations(2 majors). It would definitely increase the number of students applying in a single company but can also lead to a lot of confusion in the students mind when it comes to choosing a company or a career.

Would appreciate your views on the same.
