Have you tried Bookers and Four Roses single barrel. Scots swear by Bourbons but drink that foul kitchen bourbon.

It is actually coming out of the same barrels as Ancient Age which you can still buy and it is probably better than Buffalo Trace. They renamed the distillery Buffalo Trace from Ancient Age. They also bottle multiple other brands, especially for the Japanese.
