RE: [ACEsthetics] ND - Cancer diagnosis - prayers needed...

George,

Thank you for sharing your personal experience. It helps to get advice from those who have dealt with this unfortunate circumstance. Honestly, I am humbled by the outpouring of support and assistance I have received and am grateful to have such friends on ACE. Kathy Frazar has been sending me a list of Houston doctors for me to make appointments with, including GI specialists. So many have come forward with private notes. Wow. In a strange way, I feel energized by the support, but saddened by the fact that so many of us have experienced the effects of Cancer.

Ekram

I feel your pain. I lost my brother to colon cancer in 1999 he was only 39. He too had no signs. And just 2 yrs ago I lost my sister to colorectal cancer she was 47. She was too scared to have a colonoscapy --shame on her. Make sure u get yours ASAP. I have one every two years

Hello All,

My 32 Year Old younger brother was diagnosed last week with Stage 4 Colon and Liver Cancer. He started Chemo at Sloan Kettering yesterday and will continue for about two months, then surgery, then radiation. How does this happen to a 32 year old? He had no symptoms until about a month ago when he noticed some blood in the stool and went to see his doctor two weeks ago. Considering that we don’t have Cancer on either side of the immediate family, and now two brothers with Cancer (my eldest brother had Prostate Cancer 6 years ago), I am thinking it is from environmental exposure, or food. Just so confusing. There should be better screening on a regular basis. Is there any research going on with Biomarkers that may be present in the oral cavity? We have to catch this stuff earlier. I am reviewing our diet and looking into regular screenings now. I am 42 and did not think at this age I would have to worry about any of this.

Please pray for him.
