Ace inhibitors keep acid in the system (not a good thing), statins are not a good thing and biochem inhibits cell energy (generally not good). Follow the biochem and read the insert and the actual studies they cite (not the "relative" numbers.

Intersting study has come out from the HOPE (I think in Cleveland) group which showed that an individual who took not only the statins but 81 mg of aspirin a day and a low dose ACE inhibitor (Remipril) fared better.  This is treating the heart from a medicine standpoint rather than a surgical one when something goes wrong.  Apparently the ACE inhibitor helps prevent the eruption of the cholesterol cleft through the intima of the artery and thus causing turbulence which in turn causes aggregation of the plateletts.  This was a long term study and had many patients in it.
