Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer I role will assist to design, develop, test, and deliver Business Intelligence solutions based on pre-defined requirements, following established development and migration standards. The candidate will have responsibilities of developing reports by using Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 SSRS and SSAS tools, as well as participating production support and maintenance for the existing data warehouse system.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Develop reports using Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 tools (SSRS and SSAS)
•Proficient and working knowledge in building SSRS reports
•Intermediate level knowledge about SSAS cube and MDX coding
•Works within established guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventions
•Provide report and system support. Help to research and answer report user questions
•Work with business users, analysts and QA team members in design, development and test the report deliverables.
•Self-motivated, willing to learn and do. Work effectively in the team environment to produce high level of quality results
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices of mainframe and/or client/server applications, analysis, design and development
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Analysis skills for technical problems and solutions of moderate risk
•General analysis skills for technical problem solving
•Knowledge in targeted technologies and utilities for the mainframe, client/server, and/or distributed environments
•Willing to provide production support as needed
ROLE/JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
•2+ years work experience in SSRS report development is required
•Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 tools – SSRS and SSAS experience is required (The SSRS experience is required and a good understanding in SSAS cube, and extracting data by using MDX would be preferred)
•Microsoft T-SQL and stored procedure development / writing experience is required
•Experience and/or knowledge with OLAP cubes (e.g. SSAS, Cognos)
•Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
•Experience working with large databases, especially large data warehouse, is preferred
