Position Title: UPK Developer

Position Summary
Experienced Oracle UPK Content Developer needed for contract opportunity, lasting until February 2013.
Key Responsibilities
This individual will serve multiple roles throughout the project life cycle, interacting with and working closely with other members of a project team to prepare system test scripts, business process documentation, and UPK training and reference materials for multiple scheduled releases of applications within the program/project portfolio.
The developer will be responsible for the development of UPK training materials including:
- Collaborating with business/functional leads to develop test scripts using UPK, to be used in multiple
test cycles (system, system integration, user acceptance, etc.
- Collaborating with SMEs and leads on business process and policy content for training materials
- Creating detailed Business Process Documents to support training materials
- Creating and adhering to detailed training development schedules for all assigned topics
- Identifying and validating training topics (courses)
- Creating UPK training materials based on established standards
- Editing and finalizing UPK training materials based on peer and SME review
- Creating content packages for publishing to LMS, as needed
- Conducting peer review on UPK content developed by others, as needed
Experience Requirements
• Previous UPK development experience in Oracle R12 Human Capital Management, Financials, and/or Supply Chain modules required.
• Client facing consulting skills and close interaction with client Subject Matter Experts are required. The ideal candidate will have a strong, hands-on background in Oracle UPK and will be well-versed in defining the end goal of instructional learning needs and systematic development of instructionally sound training materials that incorporate business process and policy.
• 7+ years' experience in instructional design
• 5+ years' experience in UPK 3.6 required; UPK 11 experience preferred
• Experience developing test scripts in collaboration with functional leads
• Content development experience should include creation of:
- Course Outlines
- Courseware Presentations
- Business process flows
- End User Procedures in UPK
- Business scenario-based exercises
- Exercise data simulations in UPK
- Skills assessments
- Job aides (e.g., Quick Reference Cards, Job Aids, etc.)
• Candidate should also be able to:
- Conduct Peer Reviews of all materials
- Meet with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather learning objectives and overall understanding
- Review training curriculum/content with SMEs and obtain sign-off
- Report weekly on project status and issues to project management
- Facilitate material review session with SMEs
- Prepare trainers to deliver program content via Train-the-Trainer as required
- Peer review of UPK training materials
Technical Skill Requirements
Experience preparing UPK packages for various LMS systems preferred.
