The focus heavily on Core Java, Spring Modules, Hibernate, and the creation of Web Services.

 This position is implements software for clients using Iron Data product suite, leading all technical activities throughout a project. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 Develop software solutions using J2EE, Groovy/Grails, and Web Services technologies.

Work closely with project managers and clients to plan and execute successful software implementations

Design software solutions using the Unified Modeling Language

Plan and conduct formal reviews of the software architecture, design, and source code to ensure overall quality of the solution

Work with client and Iron Data testers to test, correct and refine software solution

 

Required Skills

 

The Java Developer must possess the following skills:

 Strong knowledge of Java programming, Java Servlets, Web Services, Enterprise Java Beans, JDBC, Java Server Pages, and SOAP.

Strong grasp of UML and design patterns.

Excellent understanding of Internet web application architectures and internet application design.

Strong database/SQL skills.

Familiarity with middleware products such as MQ Series a plus.

Familiarity with Groovy/Grails, GWT or  AJAX a plus.

Ability to make educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete information.

As the technical driving force behind the project, demonstrated leadership skills, project management experience and strong communication skills are required.

Knowledge of Iron Data products is considered a plus.

Ability to identify, clarify and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed
