the frocked are becoming a real menace. The unfrocked and the defrocked are scared. Who can we trust these days. It is better to have long fingers than long knives. Ritual killings from the frocked are increasing at an alarming rate. The competition amongst them for financial dominance is unbelievable. The cloth has become a cloak and stepping stone to seek great and tainted riches. A frocked who refuses to taint himself with illicit/illegal, and dirty money is abused on a daily basis for being poor and is pushed to perform rituals and/or illegal activities to get rich fast. What a society.
Pastor arrested over motorcyclist's mysterious death
Ade slumped after visiting the suspect
The Lagos State Police Command has started investigating the case of a commercial motorcyclist, who suddenly slumped and died after visiting a pastor.
It was gathered that the deceased, identified as Sule Ade, reportedly died shortly after exiting the house of prophet John Jegun at Ajenifuja street in Bariga, Lagos, last weekend.
Eyewitness account to the police revealed that Ade bled to death while attempting to get on his bike, which was parked in front of the pastor's house.
Police officers from Bariga police station were said to have promptly arrested Jegun.
The state's police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the arrest, adding that the case had been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
Braide also confirmed that Ade had visited the prophet at about 6:30pm on Saturday before his death.
"His widow reported the case the following day at the Bariga Police Division, and the prophet was apprehended," she added.
Residents of the area expressed shock over the death, stating that Jegun was well known in the neighbourhood for conducting prayer and deliverance sessions for troubled residents.
