I was up in Erie presenting to the Fortis School on Monday to the dental assisting class. It's an all day lecture to all the assistants.
I'm worried about the future. I don't feel that our profession is garnering in the type of people that we as dentists are looking for. MOST of the women (one guy) in the class were there it seems because they want to 'make money' and 'not work weekends.' !!
Many of them balked with they saw some of our cosmetic cases and wondered why these types of things aren't covered by insurance companies.
I'm worried about our future, ladies and gentlemen..
