Am I missing something? Does arrested decay exist anymore? I am seeing every spot, stain and arrested caries being restored. Is this over treatment? Am I a dinosaur?
A patient presents with multiple stain/arrested caries on #2, 3, 14, 15. These "lesions" are long standing. Nothing remarkable on the radiographs. I choose not to treat these. This is a corporate, production based setting (like we aren't all production based!). I see treatment recommended on deciduous teeth that are mobile. Isn't there enough "real" dentistry out there? What am I missing?
