Job Title:         Sr. Java Developer (GC, USC)
Location:         Norwalk / Shelton / Fairfield, CT
Duration:         6+ Months

 

7-8 years of experience on Java/J2EE, JQuery, Ajax, good to have Search Engine/SEO Experience

 

 

An ideal candidate should have hands-on Java with sound understanding of various architectures, design patterns and tools.

Applicants must have a minimum of 7-8 years of demonstrated experience using JavaScript, XML, XSLT, JSP, JDBC.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ø  Applicants must have a minimum of 7-8 years of overall IT experience.

Ø  Solid understanding of Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, and relevant design patterns with strong XML, XSLT, JSP, JDBC skills.

Ø  Experience with database schema design, stored procedures, SQL tuning with Oracle and MySQL.

Ø  Experience with Eclipse, Toad and FireBug with hands on working knowledge with web servers (Apache, Tomcat).

Ø  Strong knowledge in all phases of the software development life cycle.

Ø  Should be able to design and lead architecture expansions efforts, tech refreshes and upgrades to improve system performance, scalability and redundancy.

Ø  Ability to create & continuously enhance the web search interface based on latest industry research and trends in this space.

Ø  Help in creating and deploying new search features.

Ø  Provide support in managing the underlying infrastructure.

Ø  Should be able to implement web based secure applications.

 

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred.
