Re: [MTC Global] [HQ] Managing Failure--Learning from Mistakes by Dr. R Gopal [ Full Write-up]

Prof R Gopal has succintly written his story & laid threadbare the
state of affairs in a Management institution. With suchl Distractions
& Diversions being a part of Indian education system, learning &
teaching also happen as fallouts.
Faculty -- before jumping into the fire/net, ask the question & gauge
yourself? Can I do it?
The faculty who crib & crtiticise are those who took a dive first,
then started thinking later.
I got 2 things from Prof R Gopal"s experiences -- one, a Faculty must
never complain about any student he or she is handling. Bring all of
them into the fold -- use all resources including fellow faculty,
proctive students, management, tact, , guest faculty others.
Finally, what he states & I agree, the onus of developing a student
rests with the Faculty. Take ownership, start loving them, understand
the student, go beyond teaching one subject in 28 sessions. Make them
good citizens & global managers.
Again, here also, the question of scaling up by learning new skills &
getting updated is pivotal - thru FDP"s,
