Position: Oracle Middleware Administrator

Location: Southborough, MA

Duration: 6+ months

Interview process will be a phone interview then Video or Face to face

 

Client is seeking a talented and tenured Oracle Middleware Administrator for a 6+ month project in the Greater Boston, MA area. The consultant selected will provide technical expertise and responsible for infrastructure support on various Oracle applications that can be customized for various purposes ("Middleware technologies") deployed within our clients environment.  The responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of systems utilized by our client for financial reporting and document management, such as Oracle OBIEE, BI Publisher, and UCM on Linux operating systems.

Key Skills:

· Provide technical support of Middleware technologies by performing administrative and monitoring tasks, including installation and configuration of new environments (development, QA and production).

· Manage patches and upgrades, configuring, tuning and monitoring transaction queues, conduct promotion, deployment and troubleshooting of new code.

· Perform daily monitoring and analysis of audit and error logs as well as; Install and configure Middleware products such as Weblogic Server, all components of Webcenter, Oracle HTTP server (OHS), Oracle UCM 11g, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g, and Oracle BI Publisher 11g · Perform configuration, release and change management activities as required by the Enterprise packaged solutions.

· Responsible for overall content management and Search Engine Optimization for web portals · Support installation and maintenance of the Enterprise packaged solutions in production and non-production environments.

· Monitor Content Server, Archiver, and Refinery logs; modify configuration of content server as required.

· Act as liaison with Oracle UCM support if required.

· Monitor web site publishing schedules, file locations, permissions, configure and administer the application, including user provisioning and maintenance.

· Monitor status and activity of the Enterprise packaged solutions, generate and review product logs, and support/define report creation and execution.

· Understand the affects the introduction of new system functionality will have on the solution and take appropriate action to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

· Analyze content metadata; ensure standards are met; identify issues and proper solutions.  Develop and implement new user-required needs using Web Center Content tools · Provide technical implementation expertise and support in the maintenance and tuning of OBIEE environment.  Install, configure and manage OBIEE environments, including reports and dashboards.

· Responsible for OBIEE administration, security, and repository maintenance.

· Facilitate and implement infrastructure and application changes following all established process and procedures.

· Set up environments for new projects with subject areas, folders, security and AD groups within the OBIEE environments · Install, configure, upgrade and patch ETL, DAC, BI server and BI deployment platform.

· Manage and monitor RPD

· Manage and monitor cache and performance tuning of OBIEE · Manage and monitor Informatica repository and Workflows and designer tools.

· Install, configure, upgrade and patch DAC servers.

· Define and manage execution plans; define, tweak and manage subject areas.

· Monitor Execution - ETL runs, security management, performance tuning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills · Proven working history of escalation support or systems administration experience with Oracle products.

· Experience with UCM/ECM 10g or higher.

· Experience in application support/user help desks & administering the clustered ECM/UCM environment.

· Demonstrated experience working with database applications with 2+ year's experience in administering OBIEE environments.

· Linux experience required

· Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools and security & experience installing and configuring OBIEE 11g, DAC and Informatica · Experience in performance tuning in OBIEE, experience with OBIEE admin tool, web catalog and RPD.

· Strong Oracle database skills required · Working knowledge of Informatica repository and migration of custom repository objects
