Urgent req for Sr & Jr PHP developers @ CA (GC/USC only)

THIS IS PREFERRED VENDOR REQUIREMENT

Title:Sr .PHP Developer

Location:Los angeles,CA

Duration:6 Months

Description:

NOTE: U.S. Citizen and Green card holders only.

OPERATIONS - SR. DEVELOPER

Oversees overall strategy for local development team including managing development and maintenance of critical enforcement systems

Tracks and monitors short and long term goals for development team to deliver on key objectives for Anti Piracy department

Provides technical expertise and leads requirements gathering exercises with operations group to refine development priorities

Manages engineering tasks for Operations team including tracking existing architecture plans, overseeing data center migrations, and server lifecycle planning

Responsible for implementing code stabilization best practices including maintaining software repository, optimizing existing applications through code reviews, and determining appropriate maintenance windows and deployment schedules to minimize application downtime

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be willing to work from Universal City office
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to walk through previous development project as part of the interview process
• Must be willing to learn Python on own time if no prior experience with Python development

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area; or 4+ years' experience in professional development role.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with PHP, JavaScript, MySQL
• Minimum 2 years of experience with 2 of the following: Python, Perl, Java, C++, or C#
• Minimum 2 years of experience building and managing databases

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Prior experience with web development, web crawling/scraping, and data mining
• Experience with JSON and XML, including parsing, schemas, and transformations
• Solid understanding of Linux server deployment, configuration, and security
• Experience with data warehouse design, ETL and optimization
• Deep understanding of Internet technologies, online video concepts, and digital asset management systems
• Effective project management experience with limited guidance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, work hands-on, and be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
