group, take a look at these images. This lady is in her mid 50's she has talked about a implant in th 19 site for years..she has what I would call moderate generalized wear. BUT, until recently she has been very comfortable joint-wise. LAtely she has been complaining of joint pain mostly on her left side. She is VERY stiff when I try to open and close her. I put her in a NTI. She feels better. She wears the NTI into the office early one morning and I take a facebow and do a Futar bite ( I take 3-4 bites) registration. The SAM 3 MPI has the dots in a pretty good position for recording a repeatable hinge axis. Look at how cockeyed the max cast is. I have never seen a case mount up like this.
Right now I do not have any sort of treatment plan....other than trying to keep her comfortable.
Any thoughts out there?
