I must say I am pretty disheartened this morning. I had what I thought was a GREAT interview with a potential candidate to fill our soon-to-be-open Office Manager position. Values were spot on. Personality was excellent for what we need at my office. I was just waiting for references.
Instead of references, I got an email this morning from her stating that she was withdrawing her application for consideration because my office is not busy enough for her. Yes, I know that is a legitimate issue. Some people need an office that is humming with action all day. We are not there yet. But gosh, that's where we are trying to get! That's the POINT of having a manager come and help me!
I have to agree with her, though. If being busy with patients all the time is necessary for her job satisfaction, it will be a while before she is probably happy. But I can't say it's not frustrating.
