| # Positions | Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the end to end design, development and implementation of a data warehouse solution to support the sales, logistics, supply chain and finance functional areas for a rapidly growing mobile device distribution and services company. This role will develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using MS SQL server (SSIS and SSAS), Cognos and MS Sharepoint platforms. The candidate is expected to have experience as a data warehouse lead with deep skills in SQL Server SSIS and SSAS. This individual will provide information management leadership with emphasis on data design, access, usage and stewardship to ensure proper governance, security and quality of information assets. Deep skills in data architecture, data profiling and data cleansing processes. Experience working with diverse business users to understand the requirements and develop a robust data model that will support the current requirements and future business growth. Experience working as a business analyst and exposure to the mobile device market is preferred. The successful candidate will be capable of directing a high performance team and will be accountable for the successful implementation of the data warehouse solutions.
• Promote the use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and concepts across the organization • Work with project lead and business users to understand requirements, conduct analysis and recommend solution options • Work with internal resources during development phases to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer; • Design and implement the data loading (ETL) and publishing processes within the DW/BI environment • Participate in data governance for Organization's core source systems to ensure reporting requirements can be met • Ensure a focus on information/data quality by developing and publishing enterprise data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards, transformation rules and related enterprise consistency specifications • Ensure the development and documentation of business and technical meta data • Assist in the development of database and development standards. • Construct prototype and finished BI objects using Cognos and Microsoft technologies • Extract data into data warehouse, data marts and/or OLAP cubes • Build front-end dashboards and reports. • Work actively with business constituents to understand and document business requirements • Support BI operations for daily processes that support BI solutions in production • Provide estimates of time and cost for BI deliverables • Manage deliverables according to committed time and costs
Experience:
Must have strong skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2010 including. o MS SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS) o MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) o Cognos preferred o MS Sharepoint preferred
• 5 years + experience desirable in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft SSAS in a data warehousing environment. • Ability to perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples). • Advanced knowledge of and OLAP/MOLAP technologies and dimensional modeling, including applicability to various reporting problems.
Knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous: o BI Tools including o Master Data Management o MDX queries o MS Visual Studio; o Data Warehousing methodologies o Previous experience in Telecommunication (Billing and/or CRM) and Supply Chain systems Preferred Education & Training:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
