experienced and seasoned individual contributor, responsible for delivering expert service and solutions to clients. The position must maintain a continuing commitment to develop core technology and consulting skills to become proficient with one or more relevant technologies. This position requires a CCIE certification with a Routing & Switching or Voice concentration. Both Routing & Switching and Voice experience is essential.
The position requires an individual to use skills and methodology to deliver mostly advanced networking solutions such as routing & switching, Cisco voice, and some virtual data center architecture. There will be occasion to support wireless, security, and server compute technologies as a secondary focus. The successful candidate will have good documentation skills, deployment standards, organized priorities and time management capabilities. The Senior Consultant must be able to individually solve problems proactively and seek help from other team members or other available sources (e.g. internal and external knowledge bases, manuals, and vendors.) when necessary. The position requires a senior team player that seeks to supplement their skills through the use of project experience, self-study manuals, and other required training. Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to be a self-starter at client directed engagements are also required.
Qualifications:
must have excellent academic achievement and good in-person and over-the-phone communication skills. The individual must be flexible, dependable, and capable of learning new products and technologies. The Senior Consultant should have a thorough understanding of the latest Cisco technologies, application architecture and compatibility within an infrastructure delivery model. Above average understanding of server operating systems, virtualization, storage and proficiency in common office productivity software such as Microsoft Office. The Senior Consultant should also have thorough knowledge in or experience with popular enterprise software products, troubleshooting and analytic tools or demonstrate the ability to quickly obtain this knowledge. The individual should also have thorough knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and related technologies.
Requirements:
This position requires a CCIE certification with a Routing & Switching or a Voice concentration.
Cisco voice experience is a requirement.
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience is required. Must also have a positive customer service attitude and be willing to travel regionally 10-20% of the time.
