Project Overview Our client is embarking upon an extremely large initiative that involves a major website upgrade with a focus on excellent User Experience, Usability and Self-Service functions. This position is responsible for automated software test design, implementation, and verification process. Including software test design and planning, scripting, writing, and execution of automated and/or manual test plans not limited to programming, user documentation, hardware and software systems integration, interface, or design defects. Responsibilities will Include: Analyze existing test beds for automation opportunities. Develop automation plan to increase automation coverage, providing metrics on automation coverage as needed Design, Create, and Implement automated tests using TestNG, Java, QTP, and other tools/languages as needed. Contribute to the development of overall QA test philosophies and methodologies with an emphasis to improve overall effectiveness. Actively participate in ensuring proper manual and automated execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts. Investigate software defects and problem reports to provide additional information in the report to aid defect fixing

 

Must have:-      

 

Strong knowledge of testing methodologies combined with hands-on experience in test planning, test case and script development Experience in coding via automation using VBScript (VB scripting for test automation) Extensive hands-on experience with QTP Practical experience with one or more testing tools such as LoadRunner, WinRunner, Quality Center, TestNG. Ability to write software defect reports. Identify and record the exact sequence of activities that were performed to produce software malfunctions Ability to clearly and concisely describe problems in both written and oral forms Practical knowledge of one or more bug tracking applications. Ability to work closely with development team during all aspects of the development process
