What do you do with staff that are competent. Perhaps even, very good at what they do. They just don't demonstrate measurable growth in their performance appraisals.

Do you ask them to move on?

Even after redeployment - which isn't real growth, just swapping one job for another - there is no tangible return on investment.

Is it time for this staff member to find another office?

Consider ourselves, in our own personal and professional development. There's no way we accept standing still for ourselves. Should we place these expectations on our staff members.
