Job Description:
· Responsible for working with the different business units to develop the engineering design to support the business and operational requirements for either new systems or enhancements to existing systems. Interacts in a professional manor during the project engagement.
· 7 to 9 years progressive open systems .
· Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation and support of complex server infrastructures
· Expert understanding of data communication protocols focusing on TCP/IP
· Strong understanding of server platforms in a corporate infrastructure · Strong understanding of server security practices and tools
· In depth experience with hardware and software based server monitoring tools
Technical Requirements:- Senior Level RedHat Linux
Skills including: o LVM o SAN and raw disk presentation
o Process management o Networking configuration
o Performance & tuning o Job scheduling and cron
o Log management & rotation o Building servers from scratch
o System patching o Server sizing Strong shell scripting skills:
o Able to write significant shells scripts (100-1000 lines) from scratch
o Enhance existing shell scripts
o Debug scripting problems
o Mastery of sh and bash, exposure to ksh Deep conceptual understanding of networking technologies including:
o TCP/IP o NFS o CIFS/Samba
o Experience is high scale data center (>500 servers) environments
o Comfortable with hybrid physical/virtual environments
