Stanford's innovation programme application open
MUMBAI: Admissions to the Stanford Ignite Programme, Bangalore in innovation, is now open. The leading business school in the world is now accepting applications for its new part-time, nine-week certificate program in innovation, offered in Bangalore from August 10 to October 12, 2013. Stanford Ignite classes are drawn on the same world-class Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty who teach in the MBA programme, said an official release. Prominent executives and corporate, venture, and angel investors participate as guest speakers, expert panelists and business mentors to provide candid feedback on team projects.
The Bangalore programme is designed to deliver the same highly personal and innovation instruction that executives and students at Stanford experience, stated the release. Participants will learn core business skills and experience working in a team to evaluate and develop ideas into a business plan. Stanford Ignite is appropriate for individuals who wish to bring innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to their current role, and those who are planning to start a new venture. A similar programme will be offered across the globe.
Stanford Ignite applicants must be currently enrolled students in a master's, Ph D, M D, or post-doctoral programs studying non-business fields; or must be professionals with a minimum of a bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree from a regionally accredited institution. Advanced degrees are preferred. The classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:00-10:00pm (dinner included), most Saturdays from 9:00am-4:00pm (lunch included), and additional meetings as needed for project work.
