RE: [ACEsthetics] How was your January?

We continued our annual tradition of bringing in dishes from the competing
cities. We had sausage and sourdough bread flown in from s.f., crab bisque,
crab cakes, some kind of cod thing, chop suey, won ton soup, fortune cookies
(all originated in s.f.) some kind of cheeses from both cities, ghiradelli
chocolate cake, some kind of cake that is a big deal in Maryland. We had so
much crap most of us only tried about half of it because we couldn't eat any
more. We even had a s.f. coffee. All in all, we had a great time. having
a nephew and 2 brothers in law in the restaurant business does not suck.

I'm off today :-).

I'm recovering from a Sunday full of making homemade everything- pasta, meat
sauce and meatballs. Do you think that's too much meat? All the meat
preparations and the chef enjoyed a glorious red wine reduction!

Oh yeah, I watched the SB too. I can see the big screen from the kitchen no
problem!
