Re: [camnetwork] Commemoration des massacres de 2008: une jeune militante de conscience du cameroun a la Tete de la manif devwashington FC en Février 2008 [1 Attachment]

I have absolutely nothing against any group of Cameroonians "doing their genre of opposition" BUT what I fail to grasp is this idea of "Demonstrating" infront of Cameroon Embassies. What do we hope to achieve by having a few ragmatic frolicky looking guys expostulating over megaphones, slogans of "Biya Must Go" infront of our chancelleries in distant countries (mostly France, the UK, Belgium and sometimes the USA).
Population-wise, France boasts of the greatest Cameroon diaspora demographics (more than 150,000). If our compatriots are not repulsive of these demonstrations, and actually "BUY" this notion of "Manifestations Devant l,Ambassade" as we are often informed via the Internet; how come we,ve never seen more than 100 "Manifestants" in these Embassy Demonstrations? I would sincerely like to be schooled about the merits of wanting "Biya Must Go" by talking to his appointee. OK! Let us say we successfully hand over to the Ambassador a "Memo" for onward transmission to the President and he says: "YES, Je vous ai compris. Je vais transmettre vos doleances a mon patron pour lui dire que vous demandez son depart". Do you see the absurdity of such an enterprise? Amateurish "Small Pikin Cutlass mentality" does not even begin to describe our collective Diasporan panjandrum. We, Cameroonians are simply amazing. So, I ask again: What do you hope to achieve en Manifestant devant l,Ambassade?
Honestly, methinks there are other creative ways other than this "Manifestations devant les Ambassades Occidentales", to bring about CHANGE in Cameroon....AND it needs real HARD work, NKAP, Honesty, Collective Sacrifice, Seriousness of Purpose, Panache and a lot of N G O U M.
