Dear All,
The observation of Prof. Virendra Goel ji is quite true; the puzzle is likely to be solved by digitizing personal genome on CD for analysis by healthcare professionals.
· The state of research and development has claimed that today it may be possible to charge just `50000 for CD within eight hours of biotechnological and bioinformatics processing of the small blood sample in the Personal Genome Laboratories of the future. The related Hardware and Software will soon become affordable to the local pathologists all over.
· The survival of Human Gene during evolution of crores of years, having inherited it from few of our ancestors after the global disaster, then spreading through population growth over the whole world, adopting specific changes to suit regional environmental conditions, bacterial and viral attacks and epidemics.
· The Human Genome Project published in the year 2000 the first working draft of complete sequences of individual human genomes. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Genome_Project )
· The Human Genome Project (HGP) is an international scientific research project with a primary goal of determining the sequence of chemical base pairs which make up DNA, and of identifying and mapping the approximately 20,000–25,000 genes of the human genome from both a physical and functional standpoint.
· The HGP genome is a scaffold for future work in identifying differences among individuals.

Subject: RE: [MTC Global] Nature Vs Nurture
There can be any number of examples to Mr. Murari's story . I have two grandchildren, born and brought up in same environment, same set of values and same schooling including extracurricular activities, still one is introvert and the other is extrovert.

| Dear All I do not believe in previous births. I feel it is the nature + nurture + environment+ friendship built the personality of a man. Let it be Hitler , Swamy Vivekanda or Gandhi. If parents are risk taking , their children will also be risk taking. As far as the different type of persons in a family is concerned , it comes from environment, friends etc. Cicustances are different for different eprosns in a family. For example my first girl is introvert. When she born, I was struggling in my carrier and had less money so less facilities , more focus on her studies, schooling in a medium school. But young one got more facility, better schooling so she is more outspoken and having leadership quality. Are they independent? Are not they interwoven, depending on each other? Nature helps select nurturing tools/environment and this nurturing (right or wrong)makes the nature permanent. Man is born with certain characteristics, physical and mental. I believe the physical characteristics in almost all cases are the outcomes of DNA, borrowed from parents. Every baby is born with some innate qualities, mental characteristics. These characteristics are considered sometimes as carry over to the present birth from the earlier births (if you believe in rebirth!)for till today reason has failed to understand how scoundrels are born in cultured/good families or vice verse. There is also another concept: a Goddess visits the newly born baby immediately within a few days of birth, writes something (life source code?) on the forehead of the baby and goes away. This is sometimes called as "scripting" or "programming" in TA. It will not be wrong to assume that depending on nature inclusive of past births Karmas the baby, being selective for her parents, is born. That means nurturing starts in the womb of mother right from the moment of conceiving the baby. And after birth, nurturing continues. There are several family and environmental factors that mould the way of nurturing. This nurturing does significantly affect the baby's nature, especially up to the age 6-8 years. And this nurtured nature turns into pukka nature. Some of the glaring examples are Shivaji the son of Shahaji,Babasaheb Ambedkar the son of Sankpal, Dnyaneswara, Hitler, Ramkrishna Paramhansa,Lal Bahadur Shashtri, C D Deshmukh, Saradar V Patel, Paigambar, Jesus, Veerappan, and so on and on. In short, nature and nurturing are interdependent, each is the outcome of the another, but there appears to be no explicit formula to express their relationships as yet. Let us be hopeful for tomorrow. Regards. It's obvious that you share your parents' DNA in the physical sense  you might have long legs like your father and blue eyes like your mother. But where did you get your love of reading poetry, your quick wit, or your natural athletic abilities? That's what the nature versus nurture debate tackles. Some scientists think that your personality is based on genetic predispositions (nature). Other scientists think the way you act stems from life experience, the way you were taught, and the environment in which you grew up (nurture). As of now, no one really knows which side wins. Is Kate Hudson an actress because she and her mother, Goldie Hawn, share a creative "gene" that makes them want to perform? Or is Kate Hudson an actress because she grew up in a house with Goldie Hawn, where she learned to love the same things as her mother? There are plenty of stories about twins, separated at birth, who reunite as adults to discover that they use the same brand of toothpaste or gave the same name to their children. This suggests that genes play at least some role in personality development. But other scientists are taking this further and into ethical questions  what if serial killers were predisposed to commit their crimes? Perhaps the greatest current nature versus nurture debate is over the existence (or not) of a "gay gene," which would suggest that homosexuality is no more a choice than eye color. Obviously, some of these questions reach to the core of some people's morals, values, and religious teachings. What's most likely is that both nature and nurture play some role in how we all turn out. But no one really knows with certainty. The true answer as to which side tips the scale remains to be seen.Educate, Empower, ElevateProf. Bholanath DuttaFounder, Convener & PresidentMTC Global & Knowledge CafeParticipant: United Nations Global Compactwww.mtcglobal.org /www.knowledgecafe.org Cell: +91 96323 18178Email: president@knowledgecafe.org president@mtcglobal.org -- > MTC GLOBAL- Educate, Empower, Elevate > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Management Teachers Consortium, Global" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to join_mtc+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > > Dr P H Waghodekar Advisor (HR), IBS & PME (PG) Marathwada Institute of Technology, Aurangabad:431028 (Maharashtra)INDIA.
