Re: Only in Victoria: Fako County

My people of S.C.
Where have you seen a gov't official forcing people to register for elections?
His reasons are not unconnected to the fact that they wish to use the numbers and declare their cooked percentage. In the Southern Cameroons territory, it is forbidden to have any one to be involved in any elections that concern LRDC as we are no longer part of that demonic nation ruled by a Nebuchadnezzar-BIA.

The SDO Zang is not expected to be in that division as he is not a Southern Cameroonian and is therefore regarded a trespasser and an intruder to our nation.
The Anger of God will surely fall upon him and others. By declaring this statement of his, to my people in the Fako Division, he has opened a door for his name to be forwarded to heaven for actions against him.

Victoria is my place or town of residence until the enemy came after me with wild and cruel plans to assassinate me for the matter of Truth i stand for my people. Drunkard foolish Ewondo Zang should be advised to be prepared to exit that Alfred Saker's Christain town of Victoria as soon as possible.

Yours freedom fighter,
Rev.(Papa) Taku-Ayuk Moses

SDO Promises To Horse Whip Population To Register
Thursday, January 31, 2013

By Francis Tim Mbom

CameroonPostline.com -- Fako SDO, Zang III, has threatened to coerce
Cameroonians of voting age to register for the up-coming twin
elections.

Zang III was speaking in Limbe on January 24 after what he termed a
disappointing field trip to the various sub-divisions in Fako. He
promised to come up with a prefectoral order on January 28, which
would force everyone in Fako to henceforth present their national
identity cards in any government office before they are served.

The SDO said if the situation does not significantly improve, he will
institute tough police controls on the highways across the Division
where commuters of voting age will be obliged to present their ID
cards and proof of having registered their names in the electoral
roll, before they will be allowed to travel.

Addressing hundreds of women who had jammed the Limbe City Council
Conference Hall at Down Beach, Zang said the figures representing
those who have already registered were very discomforting. In Idenau,
where Zang began his visit, only 2,321 voters, as at January 23, had
registered; out of an estimated 6,000.

In Limbe I, with a population of about 80,000 inhabitants, according
to Mayor Dr. Daniel Matute Lyonga, only about 8,700 out of an
estimated eligible voter population of 36,000 have registered. From
the above figure, men were said to make up 5,547 while women make up
3,149. The SDO said from the whole of Fako Division, only 31 percent
of eligible voters have registered.

He intimated that the deadline of February 28 might not be extended.
"I advise you to do everything humanly possible to register now and
not tomorrow. Government has done everything to ensure that people go
out and register. Do not wait with the notion that the date will be
extended and then you become embarrassed," he said.

It is true that some people, for some reasons, are still not convinced
that the biometric system will eliminate the vexing problems of the
past among them multiple entries, inability to discard such entries,
and so on. But ELECAM officials and other experts have explained that
the biometric system has the capacity to cross-check and delete all
multiple entries of names and clean the data and make it as fair as
possible.

It would be recalled that prior to the 2011 presidential election,
promises had been made to the effect that special software provided by
the UN would purge out multiple registration. It came to pass that no
such software had been installed in ELECAM computers and, as such, the
mix-up in electoral registers that characterised previous elections
were still observed with much embarrassment.

Zang said he could not still understand why people are reluctant to
register. He said the Government has spent FCFA in billions to acquire
the kits and he did not find it appreciable when people are not hot
about it. He promised to practically use a horse whip on those who do
not want to register. There will be intensive police controls in the
days ahead if the situation does not improve," he said. "Let's keep
the ELECAM officers busy for the next few weeks," he added.

The Parish Priest of the Catholic Church New Town promised to assist
in spreading the message, especially to urge his Christians to
register. The MP for Fako East, Hon. Celestine Lyonga, urged,
especially the women, to register because it is only through this that
they shall be able to choose their leaders when the time comes.

Weekly Clean-up

Zang's Limbe gathering was also to encourage the population to heed to
clean-up campaign drives in preparation for the visit of the Head of
State to the Southwest. He said the towns of Tiko, Buea and Limbe,
which will be highly concerned with preparations for the visit, would
henceforth engage in a once weekly clean-up exercise.

He said Buea would clean up every Monday, Tiko on Wednesdays and Limbe
on Thursdays. The SDO promised to personally take charge of
supervising the clean-up exercises. "Defaulters," he said, "shall have
to pay FCFA 50,000 to 100,000." Besides, Zang has ordered all
abandoned vehicles to be taken off the roadsides and all garages by
the highways to be enclosed and kept clean.

Meantime, the Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Andrew
Motanga, said the clean-up campaign was not just to keep places clean
in wait for Biya but for the health and wellbeing of the
inhabitants. The SDO stated that March 21 is the deadline set for all
Re-unification projects, the roads, hotels, and others. "After this
date, we shall be expecting to hear from Yaounde when the Head of
State will be coming," Zang said.

Tell this illiterate that he cannot force people to vote let alone
register. This tactic is a clear demonstration of how lawless our
society is. Mr SDO, ask yourself why people are reluctant to register.
I am sure you know the reason but would rather use force instead of
addressing the root cause(s) of this problem. Requiring Cameroonians
to show proof of registration in order to be served is only creating
opportunities for those poorly paid public servants to take bribes
from those not compliant with the requirement. I thought we were in an
advanced democracy..........

Mr SDO, Stop wasting your time. No one can be forced to register and
vote. The day that Cameroonians know that their elections are truly
free ad fair no one is going to show them the way to the polling
stations. You would see unending lines of voters and people queuing up
for hours just to vote. So please leave us alone with this
CPDM/Elecam/MINADT charade. Just tell your absentee President to
appoint the MPs, councillors and mayors by decree and so save the
election funds that you all are planning to embezzle.
