Skills Required and Job Description:

- 5+ years experience in Linux Administration - Red Hat Linux (RHEL). - Exp with SSH tunneling - CHROOT setup - Exp isolating VNC connections and securing to prevent security leaks and hacking. - APF Firewall setup and support and maintaining rules. - Understanding of TCP windowing and optimization of packet flows. - Understanding security limits in. /etc/security/limits.conf for process optimizations. - Unix Shell scripting (Bash) - Crontab job creation, routing erros and script output during cron execution - Understanding shell file existence and logic dispatching based on results - Regex - file pattern matching and data matching. Reg ex, printing, variable substitution (We do a lot of text manipulation at the shell level to pre scrub the data and move it around. We need someone who can step in and improve the existing processes as well as create new system scripts to enhance our production environment.) - AWK and SED programming.  - Binding disk dir to other places and understanding on link strategies - VMware experience in establishing a VM environment from the ground up. Capable of designing and implementing a VM strategy. VMWave, VSphere, Developing a HA environment using the VM tools available. - mySQL understanding for setup and basic administration.  - Experience with networking infrastructure. Cisco switches and Access Points.
