[ACEsthetics] New Post/Thread Notification: General Dentistry

Hello,

drmikemaroon has just posted in the General Dentistry forum of ACE Dental World under the title of Patient Decay Rate Increasing Rapidly...What Would You Do?.

This thread is located at http://www.acedentalforum.com/forum/threads/2423-Patient-Decay-Rate-Increasing-Rapidly-What-Would-You-Do

Here is the message that has just been posted:

This pt has been a long time pt who recently went through a bout with prostate cancer and returns to my office with aggressive decay on UR/UL posterior regions and increased periodontal disease. Pt is male, former smoker (quit about 5 yrs ago) and in his 70s.

How would you manage this pt moving forward? I want to be realistic with the dentistry that I promise him and not heroic, so is this the time to have the complete denture conversation, or would you start with partial dentures knowing that the decay rate may continue to progress?

Thanks.
