[MTC Global] Cocoon Comfort

Dear Esteemed MTCians

 Greetings!!

There are numerous examples in our day to day life which we can resemble with Cocoon Comfort. It's a term which describes the growth restriction created by a person habit and thinking process which keep him in illusion that he is in safest position and need not to be changed.

Some examples to quote are as follows.

·       *  The Child resistance to avoid his first day of School.

·       *  Most of the Sarkari Babus attitude towards their job.

·       * Working Husband fear to enter into working/non working wife zone or vice versa.

·       *  Students' dependency on short notes and guides.

During Placement session i used to counsel most of the students who tend to create a wall of comfort in their success path and I'm surprised to know their silly excuses to reject the offers made by the company such as relocation problem, absence of cab facility, odd job timings etc.

Is it worth to remain in the comfort zone?

Thanks & Regards
